It’s not even Thanksgiving and yet the NHL already has carved up two turkeys with precedent-setting suspensions.
Jesse Boulerice and Steve Downie were given 25- and 20-game suspensions, respectively, for vicious on-ice attacks. Both were previously suspended in junior hockey for similar acts.

Revenues, Adjusted for Inflation
24 October 2007Interesting article from Mirtle’s Blog discussing the league’s inability to grow inflation adjusted revenues in it’s first two years after the lock-out.
We’ve only had two seasons, so the data set is certainly incomplete, but given historical figures, it would seem the league has had a hard time continuing to grow revenues since the 2003-04 season.
